Hackintosh High Sierra 10.13.2 Update Guide




The macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 update brings stability, compatibility and security to your “Mac”. This update is light on features and only has improvements to compatibility with usb audio devices, voiceOver navigation for PDF’s in Preivew, Braille in it’s release notes.
The update also probably brings a number of undocumented fixes, improvements and changes to macOS.

10.13.2 Update
High Sierra 10.13.2 has been released along with it updated Nvidia Web Drivers. It’s safe to update to after updating Lilu.kext and apfs.efi if you have an Intel Hackintosh and not using a RX graphics card. For those with the RX 560, RX 570, RX 580. 10.13.2 breaks sleep functionality. For Ryzen users a fresh install of 10.13.2 is required
This update is done a little differently and is not automatically. When the computer reboots you may have to select: Install macOS from “drive_name” to complete the update.



Before updating follow these steps:
1. Update Lilu.kext
Lilu.kext version 1.21 or greater(+) is needed to successfully use High Sierra 10.13.2. Replace Lilu.kext in EFI/Clover/kexts/Other of your mounted partition.
2. Apple File System Users
If you already have a HFS+ drive it wont be converted to APFS if your worried about that.  A new version of apfs.efi is out with 10.13.2 update to the latest version if you have  an APFS formatted drive, unzip it and place it  in EFI/Clover/Drivers64UEFI/
3. Nvidia Web Drivers Update
If you are using a Nvidia graphics card in High Sierra either update your Web Drivers to the latest version or unistall them before installing the High Sierra 13.2 update.
Nvidia 10.13.2 Web Drivers:
Remember to enable SIP  when you install the web drivers and then disable them again after installing.
